Thanks to the scanned office max ads for the next week (8/4 to 8/10) at Sunday Deals ....
Edit : Oh well ... Sunday Deals site is closed now. Apparently threatened with legal action by CC. Look at your local OM Ad.
Edit : Some other regions will have this ad next week. For eg. I'm getting this ad in Missouri for next week. Follow the above link to check.
D-Link Access Point : $59.99 + tax
D-Link PCI Wireless PCI Adapter : $49.99 (not that good a deal) +tax
The access point seems to be DWL-900AP, looking at the picture of D-Link 900AP at OM. The price on OM now shows $169.99, though in the ad it says reg. $89.99. Tiger Direct has the higher model DWL-1000AP for the same price (plus shipping) after $10 MIR (expiring today - 7/31). Here is the cnet Review of 900AP.
If any $10 / $15 off $50 can be found this would be a good deal for the access point.
AP900 at Circuit City is priced at $179.95 with a $50 MIR. Do a PM with OM next week. Circuit City assures a 110% price match within 30 days of buying the product. So you can even buy the AP now (and express pickup locally).
59.99 - (179.95-59.99)x0.10 - 50 = (1.97)
So, after tax you will end up paying a couple of bucks. All this assumes, OM access point is DWL-900AP. Model numbers are not mentioned in the OM ad. If anyone can verify (in Florida wher it is already running ?) that the model is indeed DWl-900AP, pls post. BTW, since model # is not mentioned, it might be a bit tough to get CC to PM this ...
Update : The promotion is regional. For eg. it is not available in Missouri. I'm going to wait and see if the deal comes in my area next week. Otherwise, I'll return the access point back to CC.
Also, some OM stores have d-link wireless router with print server 713P on sale for $99 (see this thread ). I tried price matching for this with CC but without luck. In one place the manager was willing to PM but only to price after MIR (169 instead of 199). In another store he was not even willing to PM since according to him it was a clearence item (and not "advertised"). I'm going to try to first buy the router and then do a price match at customer service. That might work ...
