I am having a nagging problem with this network.
In network and sharing centre the above modem[COLOR=#289e28 !important][FONT=inherit !important][COLOR=#289e28 !important][FONT=inherit !important][/FONT][/COLOR][/COLOR] is always connected to the Mobo, but from the modem to the internet it often disconnects and shows the red X for that connection.
I have to unplug the power to the modem, wait the obligatory 10 seconds and re-plug.
This happens at least once every day and sometimes several times.
Does this mean the modem is on the way out?
I have been advised that heat can cause this. It is not hot now but last summer the modem reached 44 deg. C.
I have been looking at a Netcomm NB14 ADSL2+ for $48-77. Any thoughts on this?
