d-link router drops connection when I'm using bit-torrent

I was wondering if anyone knew a fix for this. I have a WBR-2310 D-Link Wireless Router. It's been dependable and easy to use so far.

I just realized if I have a torrent downloading, it will disconnect all wireless connections for one minute, about every 45 minutes. It's not a horrible problem, but it is annoying. Anyone know a fix for this? I called D-Link and they didnt know. There wasnt much on google for this problem with this router.

This is because a lot of home-orientated routers cannot cope with the traffic generated by bittorrent. Get a real router, like a cisco 2600 or 837.

The problem is not the throughput , I have been cranking my 'cheap' routers at full speed for years and no problems. The problem is the router itself. I have the same router and without downloading anything the POS will drop the connection every 45 minutes or so. I pop my 3 year old netgeat B router and works like a charm at full wireless speeds.
