Today's ad shows $79.99 less 2 $30 MIRs. You can see it on page 13 of their online ad. Currently online is only showing one rebate. Don't know if they just haven't updated yet or what.

Excellent price-lower than the router alone when it was on sale there last week.

Caveat: I spent most of Friday and Saturday trying to get this router to work properly before giving up and returning it. Mine would periodically (every 15 minutes to half hour) drop the internet for a second or two, even on the hardwired computers. This would cause internet games and applications to crash.

Yes. Reading the reviews of this router on Amazon and at Newegg indicates it has a spotty reputation.

I picked this combo up a couple weeks ago at the same price at Best Buy, and have had no trouble.

I had a Dlink 614+

It would also drop connection periodically even with the latest firmware.
I've tried netgear routers. They were also mixed bags.

Now, only thing I will trust in Linksys.
You can get a 802.11B wireless router for 5bux after rebate at staples right now.

I just bought the same router.

The connection dropping is a known problem with windows XP when using WPA.

Service pack 2 fixes the problem.

I had the problem before I applied sp2.

If you aren't using WPA, then maybe it's a different problem.

My problem was dropping connections on a wired Win 2000 computer. There are two XP boxes on the network, both have service pack 2. Can't remember whether I was using WPA or WEP.

Anyway, it's a great price, if you can get the hardware to work for you. I couldn't and spent a few bucks more for Linksys.
