Alright here is another question.(Or few!)
You mentioned earlier in a post how you have played a lot of FPS games. You made it pretty clear though that you will not play this on PC.
Have you tried out the real-time system with combat and playing it FPS style? How is the feel of this? Does experience and skill allocation make a difference in your ability to aim similiar to what Mass Effect had? You have given us some pretty good feedback on the aiming system which I loved about the past Fallout games and I am glad that they implemented it.
As for the FPS combat component, would you prefer that style over Action Points if you were playing it on PC? I personally want it for PC so that I can enjoy both styles on subsequent play throughs.
Thanks for all of your great comments so far. I am really hoping Fallout 3 puts all of the whiners in thier place!
You make a good point about the free-aim. I haven't used it much - mainly because targetting is so fun, but also because I feel like a newbie aiming on consoles. I do think that free-aim combat would be fun, especially if you were good at it. Using the scenery and what's around you as obstacles works surprising me well (even though there is no "cover" button). I do think this would add depth and another level of gameplay - it just never really seemed appealing because I've been so happy with what I've got.
As for skill allocation, I'm still not exactly sure how it works. If I put points in small weapons, I'm assuming that accuracy and damage both go up, but I haven't really done trial and error.
