Help, Im trying to contribute to the d2ol, but my results dont seem to be updating on the sites.
I am stuck at 24 candidates, and 480 conformers. My program seems to be running, and it seems to be uploading
the results, but the boards show me at the 24/480. I am behind a firewall, and it has access to it.

Dont know what to do... help!!!!

The stats server is updating only a few times every hour. You should at least wait half an hour before
checking the stats to see your results.
Other problem could be that not all your nodes are added to your account on the D2OL website.. Do you
have more then one node crunching?

I only have one computer, thus one node (right?)

The stats have been stuck there for days.

It also says it is initializing at the bottom, and has never gone away, but the program is crunching....

Hmmm. Try manually updating (sending everything you have completed) to D2OL). From the GUI, click "status", then hit "manual update:. If it doesnt send any candidates, hit "flush all tasks". Oh, make sure your client is online.

If this doesnt work, PM me. We'll fix this one way or another. I use DSPY to keep track of the client. Check it out.

Other things: Turn off animations and launch on startup in the properties menu. Oh, and change candidates from 50 to 2000.

Also take a quick read of the D2ol FAQ Also make sure the client has an internet connection and it's set to online. It's sounds like you may not have download any candidates for the client to work on.

The program seems to be crunching something, as there are molecules at the bottom being checked off.....
Could my firewall be the problem? I have connect directly on the properties area. Do I need to check "connect using http proxy"? If so, how do I find out the proxy settings.

I have zonealarm, and windows xp.

DSPY also is saying file not found.

Thnx for the help!

Hmm...

Re: Dspy. hit browse in DPSY and point it to C:\program files\sengentd2ol\d2ol. That'll fix that.

Re: Molecules being checked off. Cool! That means you probably have a TON of candidates to upload! What does it say when you hit manual update?

No you don?t need to set anything for a proxy in the D2ol client but you do need to give Launchanywhere GUI and JavaW.exe permission to access the internet in Zonealarm.

Ive hit manual upload before, and it even does it on its own. It says its uploaded tasks, but the statistics and sites still say 24 / 480 (candidates/conformers). So I dont know.....

What does dspy say you have? ie candidates completed, candidates in que, and candidates waiting to be uploaded?

Oh, and what node number are you using?

I tried an uninstall and install, and still no luck. My new node number is 103310.
It looks as if it is doing the same thing.

I have norton systemworks, zonealarm, windows xp, I installed the program on a different hard drive (other than c).

It seems to be crunching, and getting checks. It says it is uploaded the results, but still nothing......

It says it is loading target, but it has always said that except once. Down at the bottom it says it is initializing, and off on the side it does not have any conformers or candidates in progress...

My stats also seem strange. How many candidates/conformers should an XP 2800+ with 1024 MB do in a day?
Is something like 25/500 per day normal?

My XP 2600 512mb does around 100 cands per day an an XP 1900 256 mb does around 80.
Bear in mind that the candidates vary in complexity so completed candidates will vary but your numbers do seem a bit low.
Are you running anything else?
