Hmmmmmm if we can pass and put some distance on TPR in SoB I should be able to move a few local machines over to that project. And from what the stats shows a few machines will make a big difference....

You're right on that. My buddy and I are producing 50-60% for the TeAm along with a few die hards that stayed through thick and thin (you know who you are!).

Stats still go down here and there, but the client can que 2000 wu's. You never run out of work anymore.

I have one cruncher on it, should have a good sized dump in a week. I should be able get my dually back online soon. I ordered a PSU . I need processors for it . Computers will be providing the heat for my apartment again this winter.

Its quite funny how a small country like the Netherlands can win the big ol' mighty america . Plus Anandtech is a bit international... and remember that the country has many big teams. Dutch are truly the DC citizens.

Im half dutch by the way and can read dutch so if you need a spy ...

Bumping this thread, a lot of us worked hard to obtain the number one position in this project. I think the cause is still worthwhile. I hope some of you guys come back . We can`t let them do yhis to us without a fight.

Slapstick and I bumped up production about 20% or so. We are simply out of machines...

I'm completely Dutch, but am proud to be a member of TA.

Oh, TA is not big ol' mighty america, as you said. We have members from all over the world, including the Americas, Europe, Asia, Middle East, Russia and I believe there are one or two from Africa. So we are a truly multi-national, worldwide team.

The DPC, btw, do not only have Dutch on their team. Since they can not grow much more here in The Neherlands, they are now also (and always have been) accepting members from other European countries, eg Belgium, UK, Scandinavian countries.

If they had done that a year ago we would still have 100+ members crunching on the team. Count me in for my paltry 2 nodes left for now anyway.

That's what about 15-20 machines ? How many a day can a machine do with the new client ?

I havent run a nix client in a long time. They had improved the windows client performance so well and it is so much easier for me to network with Win2k that I saw no need to run nix anymore.

What priority does the client run at?

I tried to run it together with SOB, but now it takes all the CPU time.

I want clients to run at idle priority (whishful thinking)..

Will add a shared 1800 as soon as the damned cable modem gets a connect! :| Power went out for a second, and it's been over an hour now without a connect (I'm at work right now... just as well as all these machines were off too! :|)

We were getting a bit of a slagging in this thread on the D²OL forum.
Should we post something in a new thread as a reply ?
