Have a 1.4 just installed...took a Seagate 10/20 Gig tape drive that was working great out of an NT 4.0 box and stuck in it. IDE detection would not pick it up. Every possible IDE config using the onboard IDE was tried...but BIOS only detected as a removeable, not IDE device (thus Win2k didn't pick up on it).
Tried an identical brand-new drive, no change. Built up an identical machine, same issue. Flashed BIOS os MB, no change. Firmware update on tape drive, nada. Took it out, stuck back in NT 4.0 system, works like a charm.
What's the deal?? ANY help would be appreciated greatly!
