Now I want the Bears to win even harder just to stick it to you.
There are no guarantees what will happen next year. Bears could make the blockbuster, impossible Rex Grossman for Tom Brady trade - then in the first pre-season game lose Urlacher & Briggs to injury for the season. No, when a chance like this championship game comes along, you have to embrace it. You have to get excited. This is a game. Remember that. It is only a game. It is only a game. It is only a game.
But if all you're going to do is piss on one player and hope the team loses, and still allude that you follow the team - then you are no fan of football.
It's worse enough that we have to deal with the national media who has this strange hidden notion that if someone is rooting for the Bears, it means that person is rooting against the victims of hurricaine Katrina and the rebuilding efforts. And somehow a Saints victory will turn that city around and everything will be okay - everyone's homes will be rebuilt and everyone will have a well paying job once again. And let's just conveniently forget that the Saints will likely be moving to San Antonio or Los Angeles in the next few years.
And now I get the wonderful pleasure of reading such insightful and inspiring comments such as yours... please.
