Anyone know of a wireless router or access point that lets you connect to the ISP with Dailup in addition to DSL/Cable

Can't you just plug the cable from the telephone wall jack into the modem? Or am I not understanding something?

Yes, you are not understanding his question.

He wants to know if there are those routers with a COM port where you can hook up a regular modem and use it to dial into his ISP for internet access. Like what SMC Barricade wired router has, except he wants one that is wireless.

get a router with a com port, and an access point.

apple makes one iirc
dont know much about it, cept youll need a mac to set it up although it will work with any pc/mac wireless nic/adapter etc that uses 802.11b or g, whichever it is
oh it probably wont be had for cheap either

dont know what you expect from splitting a diaulup connection, id rather not even get online....or is this just for one pc? (which seems like too much money to spend on wireless dialup... *shudder*)

im assuming u have one of those broadband connections that had the cable for download and a phoneline for upload?

SMC7004WBR has it... I'm using it right now. I only use the dialup portion as I don't have broadband, but want all my machines to have easy access...

I've had it a while, you may have to look about to find one...

Does it work as NAT for the other computers and act as a hardware firewall?

About 99.99% of the routers out there are configured that way. NAT/Firewall combo that is.
