Going to a new team. Speculation is Childress, Hedrick, Gibbs or possibly JR Motorsports (owned by his sister). Childress seems like the most logical option. Jr. driving a black #3 Budweiser car would certainly appeal to a lot of fans.

On Jr. His stepmom is an idiot, that team is nothing without him. The most popular driver in NASCAR with the most lucrative sponsor in NASCAR. Teams are falling over themselves to get him. I still hope he goes to Childress and breaks out the number 3.

I'm hoping he starts his own team so he will have to deal with the stupid top 35 rule. If Jr isn't making races then Nascar might actually do something to fix that stupid system.

Can you expand on what the problem is with the rule? I'm curious as to what you think the problem(s) is and how would you go about fixing it?

What's sadder is that DEI is probaby going to merge with Yates and will switch to Ford from Chevy. Words out that his cousin and Crew Chief Tony Eury Jr will be going with him (as will his sister)

If you read the press confernece, it isn't about money. He wanted control of the company his father started and his stepmother offered it for a $60 mil price. To top it off they are in talks to buy Yates racing and possibly switch to Ford. He has stated that he will not race a Ford. He even said that he isn't looking for the highest bidder in a new team, but one that can offere him the best chance at a championship.

I honestly don't see him going to hendrick and if he did mears would definitely be on the bump. Jr is not overrated at all so get your facts right. He is a heck of a driver if he has the right setup under him.
