damn car insurance..

Hit a deer the other day and cracked my front spoiler and smashed my grill. State Farm is refusing to do anything about it unless i fax them the reciept... which i lost two years ago...... anybody else experienced anything similar?

damn those deers!!!!!!! I hope it rots in hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

why are you just now making a claim for something that happened 2 years ago? and why not just call the repair shop and have them fax you a copy of your receipt.. they keep records for a reason.

This happened two days ago, i bought the parts almost 2 yrs ago. I filed the claim yesterday.
I need the reciept for both

if you would have told the ins. company 2 years ago you modded your car and then given them receipts, nothing bad would have happened.

Can you just find some places that sales the same items and get couple quotes for the grill and the spoiler.

the place i bought the parts from closed down 6months ago.. so nothing i can do. I am trying to source some reciepts from some other people.. i hope that works.. does it matter the name on the invoice belongs to someone else? or can i just say i had it shipped to them or something?? this is so confusing..

Proves he bought the items? What if the items were a gift? I would think he just got to prove the items were on his car.

what lack of judgement, the STATEFARM bodyshop, me and the claim agent was on a three way call. The mechanic told the agent "He has some aftermarket parts on his car" I don't want to scam them for money, just want my car the way it was...

Did you use a credit card? or cash? If cc, then call up your cc company and ask them for a copy of the invoice/reciept. If it was cash then you're pretty much a$$'d out unless your insurance company wont mind someone else's name on the reciept.
