I was in the market for a monitor and saw this gem and said screw it, why not take a chance on it.

I saw in the hot deals thread (or somewhere) about people getting discounts from just asking for it, so I decided to press my luck. After asking about this monitor's pricing, I asked if there were any discounts or coupons available. To my surprised he offered an extra $30 bucks off and free shipping. I tried to haggle for another $20 but he claimed it wasn't possible at the time.

All in all a good experience - only thing that sucks is an estimated ship date of April 30th, so I need to purchase another monitor for now...but I am looking forward to having a really high-res screen.

Nice. What I don't get about dell (or any other company, for that reason) is why it takes so long to ship...

Dell has always shipped pretty quick for me. I notice they seem to underpromise and over deliver.

Actually, I always received every item I've ordered from them the very next day. I guess it's because I live literally 15 minutes away from their drop-ship area. This item actually said 3-5 weeks so I kind of expected a long wait.

I am probably going to buy a cheap LCD to get me by for now...I have no monitor on my main computer for the time being.

I used Dell chat yesterday to take a chance on a 5 year old printer I had. The printer smelled like burning plastic and was well out of warranty. The guy is replacing it under a recall on the same model even though my printer didn't fall within the recall dates.

Two Thumbs Up. Have never had a problem with Dell, and the chat is always the way to go.
