That's a good idea but not for the reason stated. It's unlikely that a fuel injected 97 dodge is flooded. But putting the gas pedal to the floor in most fuel injected vehicles tells the computer to ignore the temperature sensor and give the engine a richer mixture which can get it started in colder weather.

nope, didn't do a thing. It has now warmed up to two degrees ABOVE zero!! It is still turning over really reggedly like I was starting up a diesel in piss poor condition, but not fully kicking in.
