Damn, It's Cold Outside!

It's been very warm, too warm for Idaho in February, the same as last year. 60s F during the day and 40s F at night for 2 weeks now. It's unsafe to go ice fishing.

It's a relatively warm -2F here, wind chill -18F, though I'm surprised the wind chill isn't lower - those gusts get pretty strong zipping across the pasture. Just spent the last 2 hours working outside. Supposed to be -18F tonight, with -40 (C or F, doesn't matter) wind chills.

It was -1 deg f this morning. I had to wear a jacket. Also, gloves. Then I was comfortable during my drive, and it got too hot in my car with the heat on.

It doesn't feel too bad up here in NY - we keep ourselves warm by laughing about the people farther South who are dealing with temps in the 20's and 30's. Heading to an auction pretty soon - I cringe to think I might be spending 2 or 3 hours standing in an unheated tent.

yes this weather fucking sucks. friend who lives in san diego is flying in tomorrow for my wifes baby shower, and she is going to be in for a hell of a temp change, although she used to live around here so she knows what it is like. it's supposed to be as cold as it's been all winter, and then more snow on saturday.

It's a fucking polar vortex here in Ft. Lauderdale. One of the lawn chairs actually tipped over from the wind today. 2/19/15 - NEVER FORGET.

I just bbq'd some pork chops - if it wasn't for the proximity to the fire, I probably would not have survived. It's 58 degrees now and I'm afraid it might drop even further tonight (to like 50!!!!).

spent so much time in the single digits and below zero temps the past couple weeks in WNY that I'm used to it now. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the mid/upper 20's ....probably going to feel like I'm getting off a plane in Key West.

Single digits in Baltimore this morning and yesterday ([FONT=&quot]°[/FONT]F)...well into the negatives with wind chill.

I agree that it's nothing compared to parts further north, but around here that's enough to shut the schools. A lot of the city kids literally don't own warm enough clothes to be standing around waiting for the bus when it's this cold. Of course, most of them live in 100-year-old houses with poor insulation, so they'll be cold either way.

Can't wait for my next gas bill.

That sucks. Summer house had the heat go out and pipes burst. Didn't know until the neighbors called when the yard was flooded.
About $13,000 worth of damage. Remodeling will start next week provided things warm up a little.

It's almost as if you don't realize that we continue to cook out on the grill up here in the cold weather. The snow keeps the beer ice cold.
