That two day cold snap we had is helping the mango blooms. Have a bunch of secondary blooms coming out now. Might even have a lychee blooming but too soon to tell. I guess I can tolerate two days of 40 degree nights.

Whats wrong? -5 doesn't sound too bad. Of course if that was in C -5 would be nice and comfortable, barely below freezing. In F, -5 sucks.

Unfortunately we are only going to make the second coldest Feb in recorded history. Currently sitting at 14 freedom degrees with two days to go, record is 12.2F. If I'm going to freeze all winter I'd at least like to set the record.

I think it's going to go down as the 5th most aborationally cold month in New Jersey's recorded history (goes back about 130 years) that's actually really impressive as it includes 1,560 recorded months, so it's 99th percentile in terms of being unusually cold. We're having another cold snap now, so it could move up even more.

I don't overclock, but air cool would be more than fine. Heck, I get low temp alarms on my servers all the time. I think I have the minor alarm set to 15C on all cores. Server room ambient temp reaches like 10C sometimes (furnace kicks in by the time it gets colder). Sensor is on the ceiling though. when I enclose the room I'll put it on a wall. Idealy I want to try to keep that room at like 20-25C by recirculating the air/recycling the heat generated. I should start running folding@home again.

It warmed up today. Was -5C today when I went out to shovel. I had been putting it off because it was just too cold and it was only like maybe 5 cm anyway. Most of it got packed by the car. Seems were finally getting a break now, the next few days look like they'll be in the -10C range.

Our nice "warm winter" has come to an end...got down into the upper 20's last night...and is only supposed to get into the upper 40's today.

After such a "warm" winter, all the tulips and daffodils in the area are in bloom...as are flowering trees. I hope this cold snap doesn't kill them...
(besides, it sucks having to wear a heavy coat when I have to walk the little rat-dogs at night)

Freezing rain happening here. Supposed to get up to 1/2 inch of the stuff. Then, back to cold again.

Shoveled the roof off on my house - 18" deep on the back, 20+" deep on the front. Heavy snow. The weight wasn't an issue though - had some water leaking onto the porch; didn't want water leaking into the house. And, with the potential for some rain...
