damn. Verizon wireless isn't interested in wooing customers.

Those prepaid plans are nice but family plans are also worth considering. Also, if you want the iPhone check if the Tmobile 1900 refarm is happening in your city.

I watch netflix occasionally, and I constantly buy music on Amazon, but the only time I went over 2gb was when I accidentally downloaded Max Payne over cellular.

Not sure if this loophole is still open, but you could of signed up for unlimited tethering through the site and call to cancel the tethering but you still keep the unlimited data.

That Tmo plan looks amazing, I've been eyeing it for months. I wish I had the smarts to get it working with an iPhone 5.
Anyone know if it's possible?

Just has to be unlocked and put in a modified micro sim

(The TMO stores have them or make your own)

and have to wait until the 1900 re-farm is complete for your area.

Right now only Las Vegas and Kansas City are completed.

The rest of the country is on-going work around the clock.

How do you use so little data? I use around 6-12 GB a month... I am gonna miss my unlimited plan so much when they take it away....

why are they taking it away?

Easily. Hardly ever use WiFi, there's no need on Verizon LTE unlimited.

I think battery conservation is a pretty good reason to stay on wifi when you can. I only have LTE on when I need it. Goes off as soon as I don't. Also it gets burning hot pretty quickly.

As long as I still have my unlimited data plan, I am a happy Verizon customer.

LTE is so fast I don't even bother with wifi. So far I've used 10GB in October (9.5GB of it is Dropbox file transfers). Verizon's coverage and speed is worth every penny (that my employer pays for anyway lol).

I honestly don't mind slower speeds. If it can get email and occasionally stream pandora, I'm good.

Love LTE. I normally average around 1.2 to 1.5gb a month, but have a feeling I might go over on Verizon this month on the iphone 5.

But yeah, Verizon is super expensive.

for those who keep LTE on all the time, how often do you charge your phone? I hate being at the end of the night and I can't even watch Netflix on it without plugging in. Do you leave it plugged in at the office or something?

I have seen these companies become more and more aware of freebiers... they know who they are and can easily profile them. I dont know about other communities, by I am Indian and in my community I see almost everyone is a freebier exploiting the system. Be it returns at Walmart, Costco, HSN or calling customer support to get free upgrades and what not. Increasingly i have heard complaints from mah homies that they are not getting these anymore, they are being turned down time and again by the customer services. I am immensely pleased by these incidents and every time I hear a story, I gloat, and rest easy and feel better inside.

So, OP, my homie <n word>, I am very glad it happened to you too, learn to pay and stop exploiting the system.

My Gs3 stays on LTE 24/7. Lately, with about 2-2.5 hours of screen on time, full syncing of everything on, with an hour or two of google music streaming, I go about 15 hours before the phone hits 15%.

No, I was calling to cancel and the operator cancelled...lol

I have until November 9th or something to restore service if I feel like it. I probably won't, Verizon is seriously too expensive.

they're all about the same so don't know how you can say verizon is too expensive.

i've gone to prepaid because i barely use my cell. no point in paying for shit i don't need.

$80 for 2000 minutes should last me a year, and even then i don't think i'd use all of it. still saves me $460 a year over verizon.

I went to a Verizon store when my contract was up. I also got the feeling I wasn't important to them to get as a customer. They wouldn't offer me anything special. They are the biggest, so they don't need to cater to people it seems. My contract is up in 6 months, its very likely I am going to try Virgin Mobile.

Huh? Did you see the part where I said I don't use much data? Or the post I made in the middle where I said I wouldn't mind slow speeds if it were unlimited?

I am not a bandwidth hog by any means, but I'd like the peace of mind that if I do need the bandwidth, or I leave my phone streaming something overnight, I won't use up all my data or be overcharged for it.

Same reason I want to go to prepaid. I just want a nice number that I can use Google Voice with. I don't really enjoy using my work iPhone as a crutch for my personal number.

I usually average ~60 - 100 minutes a month.

My biggest beef with verizon is that they don't allow you to have a smartphone with basic phone service.

I don't want their internet service but would like my smartphone to have a phone feature > eliminating a need for my wife to have 2 devices (which she can live with hehe)
