That it will be. Conservatively, I would estimate 2 million blocks. Many members have submitted nothing these past few days, opting instead to buffer until Mika's proxy was back up. Case in point: the four of us racing to 100K (mercuryalpha, dantoo, engineer, and myself) dumped a total of 30945 blocks. Not much by your standards, maybe, but it is certainly alot more than we usually do.
Well, for the hell of it, I just added up page one at Dnet; it comes to over 1.7 million blocks. Add the other 6 pages for the dailies and, yes, I'd say your estimate is conservative.
You could retire that account to paulmazzucco@yahoo.com .....i'm sure that would make that person very happy, and it would increase your total block count by about 2-3 days of your blocks worth
Well, it was over 2 million, but not that much. We did 2,220,648 blocks yesterday. We had one member above 90K, three above 70K, four above 50K, six above 40K, 13 above 30K, 24 above 20K, 60 above 10K, and 106 above 5K. Not bad at all!
Ironical that the DPC's were going to surprise us with a 4th July present, we politely refuse and we've actually gone and done it ourselves.
This dump would have to be scaring the pants off the other teams. I mean we're already holding over a million daily, #1 every day and now we dump as well. They should be terrified!
A dump is when someone or a team submits a large number of blocks to DNet at once. In our case the dump of july 4th (hope everyone has had a wonderfull day ) was because the main team keyserver was having trouble sending the blocks to DNet for a few days. The blocks were saved until july, 4th.
There are a number of teams in the RC5-64 contest that dump every now and then. Amongst them are the DPC's and the Russian teams. The DPC's are preparing a MegaFlush (MF6, as they call this dump) for beginning September.
