almost as bad as the 4pm sat exam

At my school, exams can be anywhere from 9 AM Tuesday morning until 10 PM Sunday night. Luckily, I don't have one of those Sunday exams. But yeah, it could be worst.

You know most of the best professors I have had did not give comprehensive finals. And these were good teachers that I learned a lot more from than traditional ones.

what kind of stuff do you do in numerical analysis?

I just took the final, so I kind of blocked some of it out of my mind at this point

But, root finding (Newton's method / etc.), interpolating polynomials (LaGrange, cubic splines), numeric differentiation, numeric integration / quadratures, some linear algebra stuff (matrix operations), iterative methods (Jacobi / Gauss-Seidel / SOR), some stuff with ordinary differential equations I still don't understand exactly (Euler's method, Runge-Kutta methods, Adams-Bashforth, multi-step methods, stability / convergence of methods). Just a ton of random stuff.

Edit: But, it's the last math I'll be taking as an undergrad (Comp Sci major, minor in math - I ended up also doing a math "supporting area" which needed some 400-level math like this).

1 left - introduction to polymers. i still have to study hard for that, but it won't be nearly the test that metals was.

we covered a bunch of material last-minute, so i'm definitely going to have to learn that real well
