Hey Eli,

At least with my Epson, you aren't supposed to "open" the ink.. it becomes open when you press it into the slot.
Only $8.50 shipped(For black), too. I'm happy!
Where do you get yours from?

I'm happy with my Canon ink... $9.99/cartridge (Canadian cost) for each one, genuine Canon ink
That's amazing for OEM..

I've also heard that Canon really knows how to make the ink last.

yes i just picked up some for my i860 - Gen canon stuff from OM 9.99 a color prett sweet especially cause you only need to replace them 1 at at time as they go dry

i get like 700 B&W text pages out of a black one, i think they are rated at 500-600

I get like 4,000 from my laser printer

does it print photos in color at 8.5in x 11in and look amazing ?

Does it print 17 pages per minute? Don´t think so.

actually it prints 22ppm

23 ppm in black, 16 ppm in color

You jsut have to know the system

Once you know how to do it .......... takes secnds to refill. The initial setup for the first fill is a bit more time consuming because you have to drill the hole and it can be a bit messy but oncec you get the hang of it......... peice of cake (no mess at all)

Cheers.

Well you have to ask yourself what is a 'page'? For a laser, it doesn't matter too much if it's 1 letter or a page of black, it's still the same speed. Try the same thing with an inkjet. I'm sure it can do 20+ ppm if it prints a period on each page. In reality, you'll be lucky to get 5ppm in text from an inkjet.
