Ask about any of his arguments, most if not all are his manipulations and good editing skills.

I'm sure they're just as biased as he is. The whole trick to politics and whatnot is to not take ANYONEs word as truth, because they're all biased and have their own motives.

But as far as Canada goes, I've wanted to move either there or to Europe for a while. I'm really not digging the direction the US is taking. Hopefully when I go through school, I'll get a chance to travel and check some other countries out.

that bowlingfortruth.com website is just plain funny. i can't believe someone actually took the time to show how Moore took everything out of context by taking things Moore said out of context. what a maroon.

You can't freely export strong cryptography from the US to the rest of the world legally. This includes software which is very useful to normal people; I'm not just talking about super high tech CIA stuff.

drug war - dont do um getum outta here
News for you: Drugs are not going anywhere. They have always been around. They are not *the* problem, they are the effect of another problem - people are fvcked up and have problems that they want to escape. That will never change. Wasting our money sticking people in prison is stupid and ineffective.

Not to mention that there is no magical entity known as "drugs." Each drug is different and we should treat them that way. Pot should not be illegal. Heroin? Maybe, maybe not - BUT - we should recognize that it is a very different issue from marijuana.

pop culture is everywhere except sub-saharan africa
But not american pop culture.

worried about control it seems?
No, just a crazy concept called freedom, which this country was founded upon, and is seemingly being thrown away for the sake of "security" or "safety."

European countries not to mention Asian countries have more influence over individuals lives.
The people that live in those places (not counting Asia, I'm not sure why you included that) seem happier with their situation than I am with the US. Whether or not my hunches are right or not is not known by you or me, that's why I want to find out. I didn't exactly say "I'm moving to Sweden next week after never being there and having no idea what it's like!"

So where do you think is better?
How am I supposed to answer that when I've never left the US?

You're misguided, because I never implied that there was such a thing as a perfect country, or even something close to it.

The things you state after your second sentence are just meaningless drivel; you should learn how to form an intelligent argument.

Its not hard at all to see a doctor in Canada. I had an ingrown toenail Thursday night, made an appointment about 3PM and got an appointment Friday at 10AM. I can't claim to get much better then that...

Its only bad if you only visit a certain family doctor, and he happens to be very popular. Then you could wait a week....

If you don't care about the doc, then its no problem...

I recently sustained 2nd degree burns through about 1/4 of my hand (damn friction burn...jk), hurt pretty bad but was liveable...went to the ER since it was a work injury...waited 3 hours to see a doctor, but it was a long weekend and they were saying it was far worse then normal. If I had just been in a car accident, I can be assured I'll arrive at a hospital and be cared for the minute I'm pushed in the door. Its all in order for priority.

Tired - this post might be cryptic...

I don't really know what I want. The US pisses me off for reasons I stated 5 posts ago, remember?

there are a lot of things in this country that piss me off too, but when it comes down to it i have yet to be convince that this is not best country to persue your goals, to be free to do what you say and want, and to have your freedoms defended.

but Im open to suggestions

(not now im off to bed)

Is Canada really that much of a pacifistic utopia? I think Mr. Moore is an extremist left-wing nutjob so I don't believe a word he says, but Canada really does seem as a whole much more hospitable than the US.

Lets make sure I understand you. You want to move to Canada because you do not like Mr. Moore's movies?

I haven't even seen the thing but I'm taking a leap of faith that the movie somehow shows Canada in a good light in contrast to the US. Think about it.

Overall satisfied. The people who aren't are mostly simpyl people who got unlucky and had a bad experience - which will happen in any health care system.
