damnit, i lost all of my music/TV shows/movies, partitions got corrupted

that sucks, i know i know, i should have made backups but i didn't. all the partitions still show up in my computer but they show file system as raw, and 0 bytes for size


that sucks, hundreds of gigs of stuff gone... the part that peeves me the most is that i lost all my pics of my kids, the other stuff is replaceable but that isn't... oh well, back to square one.

I've used R-studio before.
For something simple like partition corruption, it shouldn't have any problems. Just don't write anything to the drive, as that decreases chances of recovering some stuff.

$80 is the price for the full version, or $50 for just NTFS or FAT recovery capability.

Their demo version lets you recover files up to 64KB.

Don't do anything else to the drive. You could get a data recovery program if your losses are worth it to you. At least if it is NTFS anyway you might have a good chance at getting it all back.

A few years ago I clicked on my 250gb data drive in explorer, only to have it empty and asking me to format it (partition was gone or something). That drive had everything on it, things that were 6 years old. I ended up getting 100% of it back with some recovery program.

it was NTFS, but the loss isn't worth it to me to buy a data recovery program... not that big of a deal... i've already formatted the drive and chalked it up to lesson learned...

This software is brilliant. And reasonably priced. It's 120 or so for the NTFS recorvery bundle. It's really been a lifesaver for me and people I've supported.

ah.. ok. Yeah I bought my first data recovery because i lost my digital photos. $80 at that time was nothing compared to what I would've lost if I gave up on them. Now I have them backed up to 3 different places
