Anyone have a link to some news coverage of this? Not that I don't believe, I just want something to read.

*ahem* They were plotting this murder over a boyfriend. American television's portrayal of sex and relationships has nothing to do with this at all, oh no, whereas violence is responsible for it. Not saying that television has any position in this at all, but if it did, I'd think the violence and the sex do a fair job of balancing each other out to create something like this.

Sorry but I didn't get this online...it was all over the news in St Louis about a week ago. None of the names were released. The two would-be murderers were still in jail, possibly to be tried as adults. Haven't heard anything more for the last few days. Sad, scary story....particularly if you have kids.

As to moonie and his blasting me for this post...What the hell is wrong with him now? "All people are equal at birth".......what kind of crap is that? Except for identical twins, no two people are equal. Everyone is different, even at birth, except in the eyes of the law, and I'm not so sure about that. Where does he get this crap from? Psyco-babble from the '60s?

From moonie's posts I'm guessing he is under 20, crippled, never leaves the house, and would faint if a real woman even looked at him hard. His virtual world is nothing more than moon-dust. Reality to moonie exists only in the flickering screen of his CRT. A deep breath of the outside would be fatal to him. Poor Moonie......

"The above is probably just my usual sarcasm and in no way reflects my real opinion (and,or) may include subtleties of sufficient rarity as to appear to the unsuspecting like total gibberish."

I have never understood the rationality behind trying a 15 year old as an adult and never letting someone under 18 vote, or someone under 21 drink, or someone under (insert appropriate age here) drive an automobile. If there are instances where someone is held to a higher punishment than he/she is entitled, than obviously there must be situations where individuals are entitled to privileges not normally bestowed below a certain age. I think that a MINOR, aged 17 years and 364 days, should be treated as a minor until a certain ineffable age is reached, as that is how it is handled the other way around.

I just heard the intended victim sold her story to some national network or news magizine. You may yet see the whole thing on TV. Figures they would turn a real sick story into cash. Goes along with everything else I guess.

When I first heard the story, I thought they were 12....that article says 13. I guess you'll have to wait for the movie to get the real story. Heh.

Of course not Hubris.......the point here is you don't expect little girls to do such things, but they are obviously capable of them. That's where the danger lies.....it's like being attacked by the neighbor's rabbit. Who would have thought?

I think we all tend to repress just how horrible young people treat each other. I mean they routinely cause physical and mental violence that would put an adult into jail. Just part of growing up, so they say. But as kids get more mature with higher responsibility faster, there comes a point where they just can't handle it. I mean, who is raising the kids nowadays? Dad who works full time or mom who works full time? Children need to be raised not just left to grow up on their own.

What is that site, camrecord.com or something similar. It is basically a collection of young teenager's web sites that they have written. Save your comments on me being a sicko, my 12 year old neice has one which I check out occasionally. Hers is all sweetness and light, but man, most of the others are pretty radical. Lots of swear words, rants, semi-nudity and very dark writings and opinions. And these are all from 11-17 year olds.

We all have a great capacity for doing evil until we understand that it is wrong. The parents should be teaching these kids how to adapt and channel that energy into something positive. They just don't understand that leaving kids unsupervised day after day is not helping them grow emotionally.

Then again, I don't have any kids, so I may not have all of the story.
