Aww crap, she dropped down to 4th, Andretti's team wins. Just didn't have the fuel management to win the race.

this chick driver can be the savior of nascar. now if only there are female rally drivers, i bet there'd be enough interest that they'd bring rallying to the states.

...despite being average-looking as females go.

The fuel management was the only thing that had her near the lead. She made one less stop and moved up 9 spots when the leaders pitted late. Without the gamble on the fuel she would have been stuck back in 10th where she belonged.

IMO, she's still above average... she's got a very model-like face. She's also got some very sexy eyes.Originally posted by: b0mbrman

If you talk about belonging,... had she not stalled, she wouldn't have belonged in the 10th spot anyway. She was running 4th or 5th for much of the race. She almost qualified for the pole position. It's obvious she belongs near the top regardless... despite being a rookie.Originally posted by: GagHalfrunt

Wow are you clueless.

...when made-up and/or airbrushed. For example: Text Text. Obviously, she's overrated because a woman racer is a great story...
Anyhow...4th at Indy is impressive no matter who does it. Good for her

Not bad for a rookie. I'll leave the gender thing out.
Fact is she got real freekin lucky at least four times I can think of. And Rahal's team has a habit of winning races on fuel mileage - I thought she had a shot at it. If the yellow had come out a lap earlier she would have won.
It was a good gamble on the fuel - if she had pitted for fuel she would have finished 11th, if she stayed out and ran out of fuel, she would have finished 12th.
That and her car was obviously set up to run out front (alone). I think they counted on her driving away with it from the start. But it didn't work out that way after her first stop. She was obviously having difficulty in traffic - the car was wiggling around all over the place, must have been a handfull.
As for the whole weight thing,
Known weights of Indycar drivers:
100 Danica Patrick
125 Jimmy Kite
135 Ryan Briscoe
Darren Manning
140 Paul Dana
141 Vitor Meira
145 Tony Kanaan
Buddy Lazier
Jaques Lazier
Adrian Fernandez
Jeff Ward
147 Patrick Carpentier
Helio Castroneves
148 Bruno Junqueira
Tomas Enge
150 Alex Barron
Scott Dixon
Kosuke Matsuura
Roger Yasukawa
152 Kenny Brack
155 A.J. Foyt IV
Dario Franchitti
Bryan Herta
Scott Sharp
157 Dan Wheldon
159 Sebastien Bourdais
160 Tomas Schechter
165 Ed Carpenter
Sam Hornish Jr.
Richie Hearn
170 Larry Foyt
I see a 70lb spread there. Nobody complained before.
Robbie Gordon is wuss, and knows Danica would kick his ass all over the speedway regardless.
