He'll always be Shane to me.
I don't get the appeal of Danny McBride. EB&D was horrible at best.
That. Goggins has been brilliant in everything he's been in for years He killed it as Shane, steals every scene he's in as Boyd Crowder and was freaking hilarious on Sons of Anarchy. I have high hopes for any series he's in.
EB&D was downright painful, cringe-comedy has never been my thing and McBride was so over the top in that it didn't even work as a parody. I hope that was just the series/role, but McBride always struck me as a guy that could be funny in small doses and completely insufferable the more screen time he gets.
Still, just by Goggins alone this is on my radar and the subject matter sounds like it could be a lot of fun. There's a lot of comedy to be mined in high school politics from the teachers perspective instead of the students picking on other students.
