Some still do. I know Lexus does but it's not a popular choice. If buying a new car, all you have to do is go to their web sight and you'll see their color options.
A few years back my Mazda dealer had a new Miata in BRG. It looked lovely! Color changes depending on lighting, and can look almost black at times (inside showroom), otherwise it was a rich dark semi metallic green.
Jeep (AKA...Chrysler) has had a beautiful olive dark green for years... Wanted to paint my old 69 C10 hotrod that color before selling it since it came that color (almost) anyhow...
Remember the 90s when they had teal instead? What a terrible color... I've had two teal cars, because it was so hard to find a Miata or 240sx in any other color. Even worse, the 240sx had an iridiscent purple tinge that was visible at some angles. WTF were they thinking?
Actually my Jeep is slightly teal too... They also had a beautiful dark olive military-esque green, but for some reason it's rare.
It can look nice. Dark blue can also. The worst color, of course, is beige or tan. It is also unfortunately an extremely popular color. Why, you may ask, is that possible? It's possible because people who hate their lives are allowed to buy cars.
