Yeah I really liked it. A lot of variables but the movie was good enough to suck you in from the first bank robbery scene.

Just got back, bad ass movie.

1) I'm going to go see it again in a week or so. 2) I'm going to have to buy a BluRay player so I can watch the BluRay disk of it when it comes out in a few months. 3) Based on the crowds I saw it drawing tonight, I'm going to guess that its going to demolish every other movie that was released this summer.

Our theatre was packed and people applauded when it finished. I thought it was silly but I guess everyone liked it. I like the twist with Gordon and the location of Rachel and Harvey that the Joker fed to them. Reminded me of when I saw the Prestige, did not see those things coming.

I was kind of surprised of how little screen time Alfred and Luscious got. Are there plans for a third installment? This movie broke the top 5 at imdb, but I'm sure it will lower once more people vote.

edit: Just wanted to add that my theatre's latest showing was at 1:30AM. I think I'd fall asleep

I saw the IMAX today in theaters. I think this movie was off the hook. It was really well made and the plot was excellent. I really liked how the ending went. This really leads into the next Batman movie far different from any other super hero movie out there. I especially enjoyed the part where Batman ejected the batpod from the batmobile.

I can't help but wonder if the joker was supposed to die before heath passed. I loved the ending and it rang true with batman's style, but it seems like he could've easily fallen to his death...

Excellent flick though. Will watch again.

I kept waiting for the joker to cut himself loose from the rope at the end falling to his death. I don't see anyone else doing the joker in another film yet I want more. It really is unfortunate Ledger is gone.

Its definitely going to be the movie of the summer, and probably movie of the year.

I loved it. It was everything I wanted in a Batman movie. A twisted, demented Joker. A dark, gritty Gotham City. Heath Ledger didn't disappoint at all. It was not just a superhero movie. It actually told an interesting/compelling story that kept you drawn in. I'm going to see it again on Sunday. So many things going on it's easy to miss/forget a few things.

I'm curious what happened to that guy, Reese, who discovered Batman's identity. Its hard to tell whether he was convinced otherwise by Fox or intimidated. However the fact that he was going to go on the news and announce it tells me he was at least fairly certain Bruce was Batman. However the fact that Bruce saved his life by using his lambo as a shield against that truck, I get confused again, I'm not sure whether he's convinced by Bruce's actions to keep quiet, or perhaps he might even believe Bruce's ridiculousness in that situation and thus then believe him not to be Batman...

(As of this post) On the list of 250, its currently #3 with a score of 9.1 and 7,041 votes, but when I click on it to see its main page it shows a rating of 9.6, which is higher than The God Father's 9.2...maybe they don't keep the list of 250 constantly refreshed...because unless TDK's main page is a fluke, right now it should be #1 overall, not just top 5 or top 3...

I don't think he was, I think they chose to have him saved simply to reinforce Bruce's / Batman's inability to become 'one of them'.

If anything it would have been more fitting to have Joker die if only because it would have officially retired the character...although I seriously doubt they'd recast (or even consider it) a new Joker like they did Rachel. It'll take a new set of movies to replace what was now started by Nolan/Bale and crew before we see another Joker, ie another ~19 years

Only votes from regular voters count toward top 250 movies. So, 9.6 average (all voters), 9.1 average from regulars.

Joker gave me a few good laughs, I found the whole part where he was dressed up as a nurse when he was sitting there with the wig on next to harvey to walking out of the hospital to be be freaking grade a comedy right there

All I can say is, I have NEVER walked into a movie with higher expectations, and it delivered fully... and then some.

ah that makes sense, would help keep down voting vandalism (whether for or against)

Gonna suck for whoever steps in to play the Joker in future movies. People used to say that about Jack Nicholson but Heath took the part to a whole new level.

I'm dying for an extended and unrated director's cut of this movie.

I might get flamed, but think about who could possibly play the part of the Joker. Just like people ripped into Ledger because Nicholson did such a badass job, people will rip into the next guy.

My vote goes to Johnny Depp.

The only thing I didn't like is how they killed Two-Face so quickly, just like killing Venom RIGHT at the end of Spider-Man 3. Both of those characters are supposed to be a lot more. Plus, the people I watched the movie were actually COMPLAINING that Dent basically had the top layer of half his face missing; they preferred the sky-blue acid marks (seriously, wtf, flesh exposed due to acid burn is red, charred flesh looks...charred) to the awesomeness that was exposed tendons and shit.

Johnny Depp couldn't even begin to play Joker, also I'm really glad there was no humor from the joker, I didn't find the 'pencil trick' funny either, I don't believe it was supposed to be. Slamming a guys face into a pencil and killing him doesn't normally pass for humor...

Overall I enjoyed the movie, anticipating the BluRay release.

I canNOT agree anymore.... all the hype, all the viral marketing, I believe in Harvey Dent and everyone/thing in Gotham. Thank you DC Comics, thank you Christopher Nolan.
