This game will arrive in October, and demo impressions are nothing short of spectacular. In fact, I'm deciding whether or not I should stop WoW and switch to DMoMM (It features a very impressive multiplayer). i played a few minutes and LOVED the demo. seems like oblivion + diablo!

also, i really like the fact that if you use direction + power attack, you have a different style attack - forward + holdmouse, backward+holdmouse yield different attacks. dual wielding daggers is sick, but a little confusing too

I just played the demo (I guess I'm a little behind) but I loved it! Oblivion didn't appeal much to me... but this game felt a lot more fun.

i just finished the demo myself and it's pretty badass. but no coop? arrgh!

i dont understand you guys...the demo was SUPER-short...

While playing i was much more reminded of the "thief" series and/or had the feeling i am playing a SHOOTER.....because there was NOT much RPG going on but rather the same elements like in HL2/Doom3/younameit....except in a fantasy-setting.

In the demo i basically just walked around, fought those guards....in addition some standard things like moving crates, jumping up ledges etc. like in HL2 etc. (Yeah, source-engine...nice and good)

If the finished game has SUCH an focus on fight i might get bored quick..there is much more to an RPG than this.

I know! This game sounded like it'd have totally amazing co-op. Its based on the source engine though, so some modder may fix that.

I never even really thought this game was an RPG. I always thought it was a FPS in the same vein as Hexen.

Holy crap that was awesome!!!

Way too short as stated above, but I absolutely loved it. Crippled my rig though at 1920x1200 with everything high and 4xAA 6xAF; was getting around 26-30 FPS.

I loved the way the fighting was done and just the whole feel of the game. Really looking forward to this one now.

Does Oblivion have a similar feel? If so I may have to go and buy it.

The demo is available through steam now. I downloaded it through it last night and played through. I couldn't get HDR to turn off in the options for some reason so it kind of ran like ass.

I just played through the demo last night and this is what I was thinking, too. Reminded me very much of an upgraded Hexen/Heretic.
