Question Dark Power Pro 12 1200W-Your experiences so far?

Are there any issue's or concern's so far? I popped for mine after about a week of reading and comparing, so I think that I made a good choice considering what I wanted in a PSU. Now that I have the unit, I'd like hear more than company fluff from people who've used this bad boy for a while.

Without being asked, I won't elaborate more than just to say don't buy the Dark Power Pro 12 1200W. While this particular PSU SEEMS to have been discontinued, there are other be quiet! units that appear to be surrounded by issues as well.

They have good quality hardware but I've strayed from them the last 3 years due to pandemic. Listan doesn't make the PSU's afaik. Right now my epic choices for PSU's are limited to the ones I've discussed here. I'm inclined to default to Corsair because the 4 pin data link isn't necessary for this generation of nvidia cards and may only be required in future with blackwell, which is delayed to 2025 according to some half ass rumor I read last night. If you want my hairbrained opinion... Nvidia will drop their current connector for something more robust in future.

I'm curious what your problems were. I've never liked coming across posts like yours in past and seeing posts like this if I was looking for help or troubleshooting through the googles. It's always nice to know. You may helping some unfortunate soul down the line who got conned into buying janked PSU's.

The look, feel and even boxing of the unit are first rate. The downsides seem to be the fact that it was assembled in China and has awful US customer service. After the unit was "repaired" and returned it functioned, but they didn't bother to tell me what the problem was. One other downer is that the MB I bought with the the pro 12, a strix Z790-E Gamer WIFI would power but wouldn't post which is in for service. If they deem the problem being my fault I'll have to pay for the repair.
