I used to use a program called Raw Studio for my workflow but it's no longer available it seems, there is no package for Mint 18 and even the PPA does not have a package for Mint 18.
So I switched to Dark Table which is taking some getting used to but starting to know the general workflow. Only thing I noticed is that the raw files in it actually seem to be very grainy, like they were shot with high ISO. I was going through some pics thinking of printing some, but all of them are just too grainy to print. it would look like it was made with a dot matrix printer.
I was googling and it seems to be a known issue and the only fix is to shoot in jpeg and use the jpeg file from the camera. That kinda defeats the whole purpose of raw though. Anyone know why this happens and if there is a way to fix it?
