Over the past couple days I have been having all sorts of issues with my HD's in my main rig. It has two WD 250 SATA drives in it. One is failing, the other I assume is fine. I moved both drives to my spare rig that had two free SATA ports on it (part of a HighPoint raid chipset). When i boot that machine, i see all my partitions on the 2 250 gig drives. The (presumed bad drive) has 3 partitions, one of which I cannot get to thanks to a "Disk I/O Error". The other two I can get to now. But for the other drive (presumed good), it had one giant partition and had 5 Folders in it. The odd thing is I can see and access one of the folders, not the other 4. I try to go to the folder by means of hte address bar, and I can't find it. What's weirder is that if i go to drive properties, I can see that 183 gigs are being used up, which is the entire amount of data that hsould be in the 5 folders. Is it possible that the data is just hidden somehow? This drive had been in a WINXP machine, but I never enabled encryption. Could moving it to another machine somehow locked me out of those? Any help is greatly appreciated.
