I keep getting the following error:

I am getting a lot of that same error today.

From the global announcement:

The forums were down for the last three hours. I took advantage of the outage to learn fluent Portuguese. The technical explanation for what occurred with our now cloud based DB was, "stuff happened." It wasn't heavenly. And the immediate forecast remains a bit cloudy.

As of this moment @ 2:00pm EST on Friday, Dec. 30th, the word from our DB wizards is that "we're not quite out of the woods yet."

Dear forum member, please take this special, perhaps limited time opportunity to post from your otherwise atrophied heart. Openly declare you undying love for that special poster you've always had your eye on! Sign over your estate in perpetuity to the Moderators Benevolent Fund. Or just, finally, say something nice and non-snarky in OT.

So, yes, we fell, and for a little while, we couldn't get back up. There may be a few more stumbles along the way, but I can confidently predict that any subsequent outages will be among the last we'll have this year.
