as a singer myself, i have to disagree. you may not care for his phrasing or tone, but he is an expressive singer and far more accurate than 90% of what you hear on the radio. he can play a 3 hour show and sound solid from the first note to the last. most rock singers are lucky to sound solid on one note, period. he also has a fairly wide variety of "voices" he can use, and he has reasonable pitch range. you don't have to like him (my own dave matthews days are long past), but he has talent.
