David Bowie music

Been listening to David Bowie pretty often lately. I'm not too familiar with his work as I'm still pretty young. So, tell me what the best Bowie tunes are. I've already got Diamond Dogs, Ziggy Stardust, Let's Dance, Under Pressure, and Heroes. I don't expect to like all of his music, infact I guarantee I wont, but I'm sure I'll like some of your recommendations. Hopefully I can tell whether I like them or not within a 30 second sample clip - Yay internet.

Try David Live, an excellent live album. Alad Insane is another good album.

Try Ashes to Ashes. It's got that weird electronic sound from the 70's/early 80's.

For something a little different, try Tin Machine. It's a band he put together in the late 80's early 90's. Not sure if they made more than the one album, but it was decent enough.

Mott the Hoople of course. Ian Hunter (lead singer, songwriter)'s Welcome to the Club is a great 2CD live album. "Cleveland Rocks" is the other famous Mott song, it was used years later as the Drew Carey theme.

Bowie: Heathen is a good later CD, with only one minor hit ("Slow Burn") but the rest of it is quite listenable.

Both versions of "Putting out fire with gasoline" (album and Cat People soundtrack) are good. I think there is a collection of movie songs with one version and other good songs like "This is not America" (with Pat Metheny, from Falcon and the Snowman).

I've been trying to score the "best of" double disc lately, but too cheap to blow $40. Love "Life on Mars", "Changes" and "Gene Genie". Heard "China Girl" on TV once (music video), it wreaked of '80s and the song alone is too effed up for me...
