It's kinda close. He had 5 top notch season when he first got to the Sox, otherwise he has been very good, not great, only reaching 100 rbi's once after that.

On the other hand he has a great post season record, with 47 rbi in 66 games.

He gets in due to his clutch hitting.

You should want to, as he's still the best DH in baseball history, and it's not even close. And he's not in the Hall, and hasn't come close to induction.

I love Papi and he's had a brilliant career, but it seems voters don't like the DH and won't be voting any of them into the Hall anytime soon...regardless of statistics.
