Day 1 of my Chili

I made 3 big pots this time. Now that I have no roommates, this could get extreme. I bought all new spices since my nephew's girlfriend dumped everything in the garbage.

I am estimating 9 straight days of chili and nothing else. Wish me luck guys. I will keep you guys posted daily.

i'm having some cramps in my mid region. So far so good, going to eat my dinner chili now.

I'm really happy i returned the cans of kidney beans that came out as mush. I can't risk botulism.

THREE pots?

I made a big pot a couple of days ago. I figure about 10 servings. Had chili the same day and froze 6 servings for the future. Those I didn't freeze will be eaten over the course of the next week.

I'm a wee bit worried myself, not sure i can do this.

The cramps are the rocket engine in you running it's self tests to get ready for a lift off at maximum thrust capacity. You'll want to be sure to install a seat belt on your toilet. SpaceX may be interested in your technology.

Mayne, what you need is a bigger pot.

Kinda expensive, around $180
But, you can get an 80 quart pot. That's 20 US gallons! In metric, that converts to like, approx 0.635 Barrels of milliliters.
If a serving is around 1 pint, then we are talking around 160 servings in ONE POT.

Hmm that's kinda tempting for spaghetti sauces. I tend to do a batch and then freeze a bunch in mason jars. Could do even bigger batches with that!

He's only had it for breakfast and lunch so far. Let's wait until after he's had dinner for the verdict.

I'm guessing he mustn't have a freezer. Maybe there's no electricity where he lives. Either that or he just wants to eat nothing else so he can get it over with in nine days.

Next up: A 12 gallon batch of pasta e fagioli. Don't even need to take it off the stove. Just leave it on until it's all gone in three weeks.

This is quite similar to what i was experiencing the other night.Not quite as bad but it was both ends job.What is strange 2 other people ate the same thing and were ok*scratces head*.

I find I'm more sensitive to ice cream now, but it's hit and miss. I can have a big bowl of ice cream one day and be fine and have one another day and get cramps and eventually the craps. Does not last long but it's enough to make me realize I'm more sensitive to dairy now. Never really was before. The joys of getting older I guess.
