I saw the movie tonight and I must say honestly, it rocked. I enjoyed it thoroughly. I enjoyed it fifty more times than I enjoyed Van Helsing.

On a real note, how possible/logical is it for that to actually happen in real life? If so, would being in the "eye" actually freeze everything in sight? Also would it be possible to last a storm of that type of caliber? And one more thing, after all the snow melted, wouldn't that cause a lot of chaos?

Did you watch the movie? The storm passes and eventually the sun comes back. At the end of the movie the astronauts in space are able to see earth with the land free of snow. -- I have no idea what I'm talking about. I just figured it would melt eventually.

i watched some nerd show on TLC or something like that about whether or not this could happen. And it turns out that it could. However, to this extreme effect, it would take at least 5-10 years, and scientists would start to pick up on it definitly within 2 years. We'd have a little planning.

It was a horrible horrible movie IMO.

The poor acting really shocked me. I'm surprised a film like this would have such incredibly bad acting. The characters were undeveloped yet they still continued to pump them out at you. It had a couple of funny moments but they were hardly enough to redeem the entire film.

I thought it was a very poor film altogether.

You're kidding right? Day After was about the biggest turd I've seen since Gigli---it was a big special effects fest with a plot and acting that made one CRINGE!


My favorite part was where all these disasters are happening all over the world, and that scientist guy is pleading with the vice president to have the government do something. The VP then tells the scientist "All you have is a theory...there's nothing we can do!" WTFBBQ??????!!!!!! Some of the actors looked like they were reading off of cue cards....some even sounded like they went to the William Shatner School of Acting. Ugh....to each his own I guess, but DAMN, that was a bad movie :disgust:

If you don't think this movie is purely political you need to take your blinders off. This movie was conceived from the beginning to spread fear and press a political agenda.

Did anyone else notice whenever the guy looked at the GPS it was always the same screen -- not even a map! It was just that screen that lets you see what sattellites you have a lock on and the battery indicator. Uuuuggggh.

The movie wasn't very good.

Gas freezing in the fuel lines? Yeah, right. -150 degrees Farenheit, as they said in the movie, but that stuff froze instantly. What temperature would that take to happen? I am guessing colder than liquid nitrogen...
