Ok so I love the game DoD:S. I know a lot think it sucks but I think it was worth my $9.99.

Who plays it, and if you play it what's your SteamID?!? Mine is pricanqt323 so add me. I love to play with new people.

I have a feeling I won't get much response, but what the heck, it's worth a shot

Oh yeah and supposedly they are working on an update for the game that will definitely improve game play so keep an eye out for that!

Funny, after playing the snow_thallus (called dod_snow_ something in Dod:s) in tf2 I decided to install DoD again. Played for several hours last night and had a blast! Steam ID is ArMY

I think it's one of the funnest/best multiplayer online games I've played. I haven't played it in awhile (because of Team Fortress 2) but I should pick it up again. VERY fun... I usually play sniper or riflemen. Ain't too many people who can out-snipe me on a good day. Hehe.

DoD:S is the game I keep coming back to. Game play is tight, although not CS tight. Maps are fun and well designed. Tons of custom stuff as well. I just wish I had my Brits and the Bren gun back.

IT'S ON! Haha... naw I'm not the best or anything but usually can do quite well as sniper. Don't like to play against my brother though, he's pretty damn good.

I used to play at the 506th PIR server, IIRC. That and/or some Chicago one.

My friend and I used to play it all night well into 3-4am, until we got tired of nazi admins along with retarded noobs that were too scared to charge cap points, we moved on to COD4 instead.

I liked the old DOD much better, personally. It was more gritty. DOD:S makes it feel like I just plopped a quarter into an arcade machine.

There are still about 7-8 servers that are contsantly full pretty much any time of the day. A lot more on nights and weekends. But it is dying out. When I log on and there are only three people playing on those remaining busy servers... I will buy Team Fortress 2.

I am getting really proficient at sniper finally... so its a shame.

I bought the game a long time ago when it was $19.95... and it is probably the best cost/playing time ratio of any game I have ever played.

Hey there fellas. Sorry for the gap in news. Post-Orange Box Valve has been a tough balancing at of trying to take a break after the crunch, and trying to stay busy so we don't go crazy.

To answer DoD update questions, the answer is beginning of next year. Boone was working on it but had to peel off for some other tasks. Now we're all about to head into vacation for pretty much the rest of the year. Last we spoke about it though, I'm pretty sure he said most of the work is done. Just a few things left to check off the list, and then playtesting.

Happy Holidays, soon as I have real news you guys will be the first to know. Most likely sometime early January.
