Agreed. I was really disappointed with Source. If they are going to make the Garand have a recoil like that I want a kill when I shoot someone in the chest.

I like how they have recoil and spray in Counterstrike Source. These are soldiers, I highly doubt they went through weeks worth of training only to spray their bullets all over the place from 2 feet and have such a lack of control over their weapon the recoil sends the muzzle 3 feet up in the air after each shot.

The recoil and spray needs to be fixed. I cant count the times I unloaded from literally 3 feet away and all the bullters sprayed around my enemy. Then of course he flips around in mid air and 1 shots me with a pistol.

The old school DoD was tits, this version is utter crap.

Counterstrike guns kick up too, its just that they don't actually move your crosshair up...but the bullets are coming out at a shaper angle. This leads to the scenario where when going full auto you aim at people's feet to get a headshot.

I'm not sure what my feelings on the recoil in Dod:s are...I tend to think the idea is that you're suppose to learn to compensate in the same way an actual guy firing the gun would.

i agree witht he recoil system they use. its horrible. thats mainly why i like CoD better

DoD:S>COD2


COD2 plays too much like a console game for me. BTW check out some of the custom maps that people have made for DoD:S. Search [BDS] servers.

I play DoD:S all the time and have none of the complaints you guys have... the Kar's recoil is pretty realistic. Play on realism servers if you want better gameplay; more one shot one kill gameplay and realistice rounds per minute and bullet acceleration, etc.
