I still have hundreds to play on. I don't think so, its just arma 2 fixes.
Yep -- the new arma2 beta patches should be backwards compatible with the current "stable" patch.

Protip: If you are being chased by zombies..don't run to other players for help because they will automatically attack that person also.
Unless you are into that sort of mayhem.
I do wish they had some sort of storage across all servers. Not like to horde everything, but limited space like packs but let you go and pick it up if you die. I notice a shortcut for GPS, is that in this mod? Maybe GPS tags on areas you can store.
Great game, really enjoying it.
1.7 should be rolling out soon....keep updated on the DayZ forums everyone. Its supposed to fix a lot of the connection issues, i'm hearing instantly being able to join a game.
Does anyone use the Arma II beta patches with DayZ? And if you do, what does it add?
Thanks
Major Update Pending: 1.7.0
The update will be named 1.7.0 to avoid confusion with the ArmA2 Patch 1.6)
A major update is pending, that will mainly affect the server side code. This will have a significant impact on player loading times and general stability of player saving. The system hasn't been tested at capacity however our testing has so far indicated loading times are reduced to being almost instant.
Servers will require the Beta patch to be installed (and therefore clients will also) prior to the rollout of ArmA2OA patch 1.61.
Initially, when 1.7.0 is released we will bring several servers online with this to test this new method at capacity levels, prior to rolling out across all Beta servers. Once 1.61 is released all servers will run the new system.
I haven't played with the Arma II beta patches yet, but I guess it doesn't matter, since everyone's gonna have to use beta for the next Day Z patch.
3 meters (or about 10 feet) is generally the closest you should ever get to another zombie while crawling. That's even overshooting it by a little (better be safe than sorry). You're right; crawling makes you pretty much invisible, unless you basically get right up to the zombs.
Had a good outing last night teamed up with 4 others. I of course got shot by someone in elektro the group stopped and gave me a transfusion, i haven't had a problem really with bandits till then most people are generally friendly.
Just committed my first murder in game.
Do you guys warn people when you are in the area?
I saw the flares and just waited because this person was asking to die. I know some of you may not agree, but PvP eventually becomes the point of the game. I have so much stuff now that looting is pointless and there's only one thing left to do at that point and that's ruin everyone else's experience.
Silenced M4 on a hill overlooking down and gunned down a guy coming out of the store. I actually feel bad about it, but I have nothing left to do in game.
Its more rewarding than long term fun. Its designed so you don't last long but that's fine. Its not a game you'll play for endless hours.

Have you fixed a car yet...or a heli
