Last night I had such a good time playing.... most fun I've had yet.
I started from scratch due to a death from earlier (some dickhead bandit) - so I was on the coast.... ended up running like 15 minutes and got to the outskirts of Cherno since there seemed to be a lot of action there like always. As I was creeping my way in from the mountain side and made it to the supermarket when I start to hear gunshots. From the Supermarket I see a full blown firefight, a group of 3 bandits are trying to take the hospital/supplies from 3 survivors that banded together. The survivors were spread about the hospital and the bandits on the ground/tower across the field.... all the shooting of course attracted a horde of zombies... I just sat quietly and waited... after a few minutes the shooting stopped, bandits won. There were two left alive after the fight, they came down to go scavenge and while walking across I threw a flare right in front of their path they were crawling on which brought a few zombies out from the hospital and then their gunfire to kill those brought more.... the zombies killed off one of the two remaining bandits.... I watched the other bandit go into the hospital to get the survivor goodies, other supplies, and get out of the open field knowing someone else was close.
I watched him run up the stairs to go to the roof (scavenge a body) and I took off into the hospital and laid down camped at the base of the stairs.... sure enough, like 3/4 minutes later he came down and took two shots to the back of the head.... I got soooo much good stuff off of him.
Wondered a bit more and eventually exited the game in a nice little safe nook in the woods, but seeing all this chaos unfold and just waiting for the right time to move in was soooo much fun.
... I really enjoy sort of being a lone wolf in the game, I'll help someone if they need and are willing to approach me walking backwards and be unarmed (thats usually my demand if they need help), and if I have the chance takeout bandits I'll gladly do so. Sometimes it is sooooo fun to f**k with people too, not kill them, just mental games..... the other night (dusk - not totally dark yet) I watched two survivors head into a barn for some shelter and right before they got a door closed I zing'd a flare into the barn... the chat blew up and they were you could just tell they were so freaked out.
