I don't post much here but read posts at various times. Lately my computers run just the way I like them and I have taken up different hobbies. But I am seeking this forums knowledge.
As everyone knows the time changed this morning and for some reason I cannot get the BIOS time on my motherboard to change. I have tried many things and nothing seems to work and there are 2 computers here that are having the same problem and they both use ASUS motherboards. The computers are ASUS A7N8X motherboards. One is A7N8x-E the other a A7N8X ver.2.
Here are some details.
I am running XP Pro with all the latest patches that relate to security and updates to the OS. I have installed the latest BIOS for the motherboard. I have tried to install the MS DST patch but I get a message stating that I already have it installed. I have manually changed the time in the BIOS yet on reboot it does not stick. I have changed the time in the OS and about a minute later it reverts back to one hour earlier. I think it is related to the BIOS problem.
I am pissed and at wits end. Any ideas?
