DC: If 'Initiative 77' passes, it may start the end of tipping at restaurants

This will not end tipping, infact it will increase tipping since prices will increase, the amount people tip will also proportionally increase. We know this because many states alret have similar laws.

Nothing has changed out here in the Seattle area. A couple restaurants made a big deal about not tipping when the minimum wage went up to $15.00, but it did not become a trend.

How about you go back and actually read my post. There was no buffet it was a hibachi. I told you what the manager said, it had nothing to do with food under the table or anything else. He was yelling about there being no tip on the credit card transaction.

Good for them. I just can't see where tipping will go away. I tip furniture delivery guys, the landscapers, painters anyone that works for someone and does a good job I will usually tim unless I'm told its not permitted.

People seem so much more pleasant and responsive when you tip well. My usual bars that I go to, have my drink ready for me by the time I get seated.

My pizza delivery guy get my order here pretty quick. Sometimes it just takes a small display of appreciation to change someones day.
