DDR amd760 shootout!

pls recommend ddr mobo...
i'm not into overclocking and don't think will make use of raid...

main concern: stable with performance and compatibility error free

The Epox 8K7A is a great motherboard! It's stable, inexpensive (only $135 at newegg.com), and is one of the better performing DDR motherboards out there. I have one in my main box now and I haven't had a problem with it yet!

I would have bought the EPOX even if I didn't want to overclock....

And I am pushin' it...still stable...

No contest for me.

I must admit that I have not owned a K7T Master or a anything from Gigabyte though.

My last mb was a MSI K7T Pro-2a, and it was a good mb.

But it really can't compare to this Epox of mine ....but both were very stable.

DFI AK76-SN. Extremely Stable, and also the fastest board. And believe it or not, it's not that bad for overclocking either (but not as good as the Epox). But I want to emphasize on stability!

The other advantage is that it has 6 PCI slots. It's got its own shares of drawback (no manual IRQ assignments and no AGP Pro slot, only Standard AGP), but I believe its pros outweight its cons.

If you want stability.........have a look at FIC AD11.
So far, besides the layout, I love this board! Been running a week w/out single freeze nor need to restart. (but again, I never tried other DDR mobo)

Well my choice after some research was the Epox 8K7A+. If that helps any

The truth is, that all AMD 760 systems (761 NB and VIA SB) perform very much the same. The differences in performance are microscopic and usually blown up by the review in order to show something. Always look at the sacle they use!! Differences of up to 5 % in this and that benchmark are artificially enlarged by using a large scale. That's the usual way. And in addition every board (even the same model) is a bit different. Benchmarks with this baord might not be reproducable with that one of the same model.


Because you are not interested in overclocking, it comes all down to features and stability, and for this, it's seems to be difficult to get a clear answer regarding the AMD 760, because this
chipset is anyway the most stable one among the DDR solutions. Gigabyte is very big in the OEM business and stability was always number 1 priority for them, if this counts, it might be a good choice.
