Wow, I just read some of the complaints and responses on the first page of Reseller Ratings and Tiger already used the same form letter twice. LAME. If a representative from that company doesn't even have the time to type an actual response in, then that company isn't worth my time either.

I bought from Tiger Direct once. Bought a PNY GF3Ti200 with a mail in rebate. Unit came new in box, still works great. And, I got the rebate. I guess I am one of the lucky ones.

ok, guys, I have to jump on the tiger bandwagon here, I ordered a couple items from them and had no probs with one order but the other (PNY GF2Ti w/$30mir) came in a white box even though the pic(I know, never trust that) and the ad said retail, also no upc to be found and I ended up having to call tiger and PNY and complain of false advertising, better business bureau, etc. but finall got rebate and it *was* a good deal in the end but not worth hassle or possible rebate denial or incorect amount etc. just a FYI.

I have mixed feelings about Tigerdirect. They certainly seem to have a reputation, but I do know a couple people that order from them on a regular basis with no problems. I guess it is best to use caution and if you do buy make sure you are getting exactly what it says on the web site. These are great prices that many will find hard to pass up even if it is Tigerdirect. If anyone orders from them please post your results.

I have had great service from Tiger Direct.
Promptly received orders, lot's of unanswered emails to them, unsecure personal info kept on their site, etc.
Then after about 5 good purchases, they hit me with the "hahaha, sucker submitted a rebate" trick.
The loss I took on that one deal gone bad was way more than all the savings from previous deals.
Just like crime does not pay, neither does shopping at Tiger Direct. Eventually you will get burnt.

Well, I took the gamble and ordered the memory from tigerdirect (yeah yeah, I know). I ordered the PC2700 256meg stick. I received a stick with Nanya chips on it. The code on the chips is NT5DS32M8AT-6. I plan on running some memtest86's on it and I'll let you know what they do if anyone is interested. I also ordered the 512MB PC2100 stick. I received a PNY stick with Samsung chips on it. It's in my machine now running memtests, so I don't have the code for it. Oddly enough, the packaging was labeled PC2100, but there is a sticker on the RAM that says DDR333. So far I've had the 512mb run stable at 166 at default voltage. Gonna crank it up a bit now. Let me know if there is any other information you want from the chips.

The 512mb has now run 3 loops of memtest86 at 200mhz at default voltage. I feel like I won the lotto getting a good product from tigerdirect.

I got an email today about DDR memory...PC2100 512MB for $50 AR...and it comes with Lifetime Warranty. Still a bad idea? PC2700 DDR is only $60 AR.

I bought a DVD-rom drive from them with a rebate and I did get the rebate. The drive had an issue, but they sent me a new one right away.

I got my SoDIMMS yesterday. Popped them in, and they're working well. Did a set of tests on them. Ran it 10 times in a row. They seem good. Viking Components are pretty decent, right?

I've sent in two TigerDirect Rebates in the past. One was suspect because the product code did not match the rebate, but I called in and the rep told me that it would be honored. They honored it. The other rebate had no probs. I don't expect this one to have problems.
