DDR ram in Abit kt7a

I feel stupid for asking but...Isn't the abit kt7a made for ddr ram?
I thought the new via kt133a chip set was made for the 266 mhz fsb.
And do the processors have to specify of their fsb too?

It's just a little question i can't seem to find the answer to...
Please tell me if you know. Thanx.

The KT133a chipsets, are certified to run the CPU at 2x133Mhz FSB which equals 266Mhz, but it does not support DDR.

This is something I'd been wondering about too, I still don't understand it, what do you mean when you say it can run the processor at 2x FSB?????, I mean the multiplier on any modern CPU is more then 2 and so any new CPU will run at least 6-7-8-9 x the FSB, I know this sin't what you must mean when you say it can run the CPU at 2 x FSB but I just don't understand what you do mean, I have a KT7A so it would be good to understand this since i have a board thats supposed to support this.

That's what the ev6 bus does. This is in regards to the previous incarnation which was 100x2. Now like mike says, with the fsb's able to hit REALLY high #'s, people are getting 266MHz + between the chipset and the CPU.

He means that it runs 266mhz bus AMD cpus (which is 133mhz X 2 because the EV6 bus on Athlons and Durons is DDR).
