I'm getting mixed signals from things I've read on various sites (through a google search).
I'm going to buy a E2160 + DS3R and raise the FSB to get a 3 gig cpu clock speed overclock.
Originally I was going to get DDR2 800 but I've seen people say with just a 1333 FSB that DDR2 667 is enough and would do 1:1 RAM:FSB which is perfect. I've read that DDR2 800 would just run at 667 anyway...one or two sites said that's ok, then another site said to go 'over' because the 800 would run better than the 667.
The DS3R supports DDR2 1066..would that be a waste then?
Help me pick what would be ideal.
I'm not sure whether I'll get 2 2x1 kits or 1 2x2 kit but I'm looking to get 4 gigs total.
Should I also really worry about CAS 4 v 5?
Thanks in advance...
