DDR2 Help

Hey peeps!

For years ive been an amd user, obviously chugigng along on ddr400. My house is full of tccd and bh-5 kits, and i know what they can do how far they'll go and exactly how much they cost me.

Now, im already in the porcess of building a new conroe rig, and i sitll need ddr2 for it now.

I've no idea which to choose, since i am an absolute noob to it. I heard micron chips are the new bh-5 in the industry ??? Anyone care to comment on this?

Also, im looking to spend from 150-250 on high performance ddr2, and i mean HIGH performance, and please think in ebay prices. I will be buyng used, or ON SALE retail. Not the whole price - dont got the money for that. Im either getting a e6300 or e6600 for the 4mb cache, and they'll be under water so i need a SERIOUS overclocking ram kit.

Looking for 2gb (2x1gb ) for dual channel obviously...

I'd look at some ddr 2 800 4-4-4-12 ram. The prices like double for anything faster than that it seems.

Im gonna need a serious oc tho, so i need a pair of stick to go above 1000mhz, and still keep decent timings. Nvm, new price range : 300 at ebay so like 400 in stores?

I myself am looking to build a new system too, and so far it seems the G.Skill DDR2800 4-4-4-12 memory is great for the price, $180ish on newegg, and seems to get good ratings.
