DDR3 with white heatsink?

Building a new box in a few months, I've found a white case, and a white MB, was looking for memory that has a white heatsink on it with no luck.

why don't you go to a paint shop and have the aluminm powder coated? if you aren't overclocking you don't need them but for show - some high temp powdercoat would look dope if you are going for show.

Well that was my 2nd idea, but I thought if I found them for sale already painted white it would be a lot easier & cheaper. I'm guessing even thou they're tiny getting them done at a paint shop wouldn't be cheap. The case I'm getting has a window and I thought a white case + white MB + white memory would look pretty sick.

If you go this route, I would suggest buying memory that does not come with heatspreaders, and buy the heatspreaders separately so that you can fiddle with them to your heart's content before installing them.

Very nice, but spending $149 to mod memory that's going to cost me $129 doesn't seem very cost effective.

I don't know what speed/size you're looking for, but it seems like the G.SKILL Eco series has something that at least looks like white (maybe more of an off-silver) heatspreaders and comes in a variety of sizes: NewEgg

A layer of paint over heatspreaders will make them white, but would also insulation them to a certain degree, hindering their original purpose of expelling heat from the modules.

powder coat the whole system so it matches. there is texture to the white.

it's like powdercoating engine parts to match rims. if that is your deal. might as well rock it 100% to the max and make the whites match.

god forbid AT'ers have winter white and a summer white in the same boxen! (j/k)
