DDR433 is coming out! what do you think about this memory for overclocking?

It looks like its just pre-overclocked RAM. You even have to run it above default voltage (2.7-3v), so its already at its very limit (not that anybody's gonna complain about DDR433, mind you). Might be good, if you want guaranteed DDR433 (assuming they really hit DDR433 and don't mind paying the premium, as I'm sure it won't be cheap).

Highly doubt that it is better than a Corsair XMS series.

Hmm. I was considering buying another corsair 512 for mysystem. I need 1g of ram! grr. now i gotta find if this stuff is as good as they say.

Do a search at pricewatch...I just bought 512mb of pc3200 xms at atacom for 170.00 shipped...So I guess that doesn't work,huh!!!

Also this stuff has been out for a few weeks at ocsystems...I read about them and realized the are oc'd pc3200...Heck Corsair pc3200 moduels have been seen running 450mhz ddr at 2.7v...The geil may not reach it unless it gives all the voltage which may be couterproductive...

hey a bit cheaper but a bit faster. that seems normal...

the specs precise a voltage range (2.6V-3.0V), not a necessary voltage of 3v to work...

Note: actually it's not. DDR450 CAS2 would be, but not DDR 433.


If you think this stuff is "worth while" you might want to head over to checkout some of OCZ's RAM.

but i think though that bandwith primes upon latency for performances.

I run my Corsair XMS 3200 at DDR 426 Cas 2. It's the rev 2.1 with Winbond chips. Have run it for 6 hours with memtest with no errors.
